For many, sports are a favourite pastime. If you fall into this category, then you have likely considered getting Sky Sports, which offers one of the most comprehensive packages on the market.
Sadly, it doesn’t come cheap, with many finding the monthly cost prohibitively expensive. As well as cost, you generally have to sign up to a lengthy contract of 18 months. Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can get access for less.
So, what are the cheapest ways to watch Sky Sports?
Mobile
For those that are happy to watch their sports from a handheld device, then the mobile pass represents the best value for money. It only costs £5.99 a month and gives you access to Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Arena, and Sky Sports News.
As the name suggests, you can only use it on a phone or tablet, and there is no option to case it onto a bigger screen.
Day Pass
If you only want to watch the occasional game, match or round, then you could go for a Sky Sports day pass. These are £10, and give you full access to their channels for 24 hours. However, these quickly become a poor investment if you want to access Sky Sports more than once or twice a month.
Now TV
Now TV is a streaming platform that offers much of Sky’s catalogue. Included in this is a monthly sports pass which costs around £34 per month.
While this in itself isn’t much different from getting Sky Sports directly, it’s on a rolling contract, meaning you can cancel whenever you want. This prevents you from overpaying if you decide you don’t like sports anymore but are tied into a contract.
As part of a Sky package
If you’re already a Sky customer or are considering taking them up on their other services, then you can get Sky Sports included at a discounted rate. This is often the case with multi-service providers, as they want to have you using as many of their products as possible. While the cost might be a little less, as we mentioned, you will likely have to sign up to a fairly lengthy contract.
