The SimplySwitch team is made up of committed, enthusiastic customer care experts with in-depth knowledge of the utility and personal finance sector, supported by an experienced and dedicated management team. Our free after sales service is available to all customers who switch with us. We are here to make your life easier and your bills smaller.

Our aim

Our aim is to help customers take advantage of the best prices, offers and services from every supplier. We make it as simple as possible to compare and switch.

SimplySwitch is independent of all the companies we represent, so we are truly unbiased. Unlike traditional brokers, we show you all of the major suppliers, not just the ones that pay us commission.

Our service is based on the most up-to-date information from suppliers and regulators so you can be assured that our calculations are accurate.

Who owns SimplySwitch?

SimplySwitch is owned by DMGT, owners of the Daily Mail newspaper. DMGT acquired SimplySwitch in August 2006. Prior to this, SimplySwitch was owned by private investors and SimplySwitch employees and was backed by social venture capital firm Bridges Community Ventures.

None of the suppliers we represent have a stake in the company.

Company history

SimplySwitch is the trading name of Simply Energy Ltd which was incorporated in May 2002. Our Energy service was launched in September 2002. Our trading name changed to SimplySwitch in June 2004 to tie in with launch of our Home phone service.

SimplySwitch ranks number 1 in the UK for call-centre based utility price comparison services.
