Can I get compensation if there has been a gas cut?(Note: the following does not apply where the supply has been disconnected for non-payment of bills).
If you are registered with your gas supplier's Priority Services Register you are entitled to receive alternative cooking and heating facilities within 4 hours if less than 250 consumers are affected, or 8 hours if more than 250 consumers are affected. Planned gas cuts: If your gas transporter is going to cut of your gas for planned work they should give you about 5 days working notice.
