npower

Npower is a merger of the former energy supply businesses of Calortex, Independent Energy, MEB, MEB Powerline, National Power Energy Direct, Northern Electricity & Gas and Yorkshire Electricity and is now owned by the German energy provider RWE. This created one of the largest energy companies in the UK with over 6 million customers.

Npower Juice is clean, green electricity available at no extra cost to you or the planet. For every unit of electricity used, npower will ensure a unit of electricity from clean renewable sources has been fed back into the National Grid. It is generated from a number of renewable energy sources, primarily at Britain's first major offshore wind farm at North Hoyle in Wales. Npower will also make an annual contribution of £10 for every Juice customer to the Juice Fund, to assist the research and development of other marine projects throughout the UK.

How can I compare npower with other UK energy suppliers?

Most gas and electricity suppliers, including npower, represent a good deal for certain households, according to how much gas or electricity you use and the region you live in.

The best way to find out if a supplier (including npower) is going to suit your needs and save you money on your bills is to know your usage of energy. SimplySwitch has developed a free and impartial gas and electricity comparison calculator to help you find the best deal. Suppliers' rates and tariffs differ depending on the amount of energy you use and where you live. The calculator can estimate your usage based on the size of your property and other factors, but having a recent bill to hand is always a good idea as it will give us a much clearer picture of your gas and electricity usage.

I currently use npower Dual Fuel to supply my energy – can I compare dual fuel tariffs with SimplySwitch?

Absolutely! – the SimplySwitch energy comparison calculator allows you to find the best tariff for you whether you currently receive your gas and electricity on an npower Dual Fuel tariff or separately on different tariffs or energy suppliers.
